Loganair tells us that Newquay, with no less than 12 sandy beaches, has earned the title of surfing capital of England, but you don’t have to catch waves to coast through a pleasant day by the seaside. Bustling Newquay Harbour is a must-see, and you can hook up with fishing trips and excursions. The bright, wide-open spaces of the beaches are ideal for all the family, plus the Blue Reef Aquarium on the town seafront boasts sharks and rays. Another creature feature is Newquay Zoo and its lions, sloths, penguins and tropical creepy crawlies.  Stroll in Trenance Gardens and have fun in Trenance Leisure Park.
