Aer Lingus starts Las Vegas route from Dublin.

Aer Lingus has introduced a new seasonal flight between Dublin and Las Vegas, despite a number of legal battles over the Irish airport's passenger numbers cap.

The new flight operates three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday until the end of April 2025.  A spokesperson for the carrier said, "Aer Lingus’ new direct connection between Ireland and Nevada is a significant milestone for our growth across North America."

Steve Hill, President of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority said: "This new Aer Lingus service marks a significant milestone in connecting Irish travellers to Las Vegas and is a testament to our city’s global appeal.  More than 50,000 people travelled from Ireland to Vegas last year and we know that number will grow thanks to this direct flight. This route opens exciting opportunities for both leisure and business travellers from Europe.
