With the arrival of school summer holidays across the UK, easyJet is warming up for the busiest time of the year which will see the airline operate over 80,000 flights across Europe and North Africa during the holidays, and expects to carry more passengers across its entire network than ever before across the summer.
The airline will see its busiest day of the summer on 28 July when nearly 2000 flights are set to take off expecting to fly over 300,000 customers, as thousands of families across the UK jet off on a well-deserved holiday.
Beach destinations of Palma, Faro and Malaga in Spain as well as the beach-front cities of Barcelona - which also serves some of Spain’s most popular leisure resorts - and Nice in the south of France are proving to be among this year’s favourite hot spots for those seeking guaranteed sun, outstanding food, culture and natural beauty, while destinations in the Greek Islands like Skiathos and Turkey are experiencing a rise in popularity compared to last year.
easyJet holidays will see its busiest summer season yet, taking hundreds of thousands of customers on a package getaway during the school holiday period. Popular destinations for families include Antalya, Izmir, Menorca and Hurghada, where all-inclusive is the board of choice.
Closer to home, Edinburgh followed by Belfast are the most popular domestic destinations for people travelling across the UK, as people visit friends and relatives during the summer holidays.
