As Russia's invasion of Ukraine continues at pace, a number of other European nations have closed their airspace to Russian flights.
So far Bulgaria, Poland, Estonia, Czechia, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Romania and the UK have all closed their airspace on all or most Russian air traffic from their airports or airspace.
Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas has called on neighbouring nations to do the same, "There is no place for planes of the aggressor state in democratic skies."
Latvian Transport Minister Talis Linkaits used social media to confirm "Latvia will close its airspace to Russian-registered airlines for commercial flights,".
Delta Air Lines in the U.S. has confirmed it would suspend its code-sharing deal with the Russian flag carrier Aeroflot.
