New easyJet online tool makes travel planning simpler and easier this summer

easyJet launches new Covid-19 Travel Hub on easyjet.com with a live travel map detailing the latest country requirements, information on testing resources, and more for travellers across Europe.

easyJet has created a new Traffic Light System information page for those based in the UK for flights and holidays to help customers to navigate the system, plan a trip and prepare for travel this summer.

·       The airline has seen pent-up demand when the Green destinations were announced this summer, and easyJet has demonstrated through its study with leading epidemiologists at Yale School of Public Health that travel is safe to much of Europe
·       easyJet and easyJet holidays are providing more flexibility for flights and holidays than ever before through its Protection Promise, including fee-free flight changes to any date or destination up to two hours before departure

As international leisure travel returns, easyJet is making it more seamless for customers to explore and understand their options with all-new, easy-to-use travel planning resources on easyjet.com/en/covid-19-travel-hub. The travel map is a tool to help customers stay informed on the latest travel guidelines to and from the 35 countries on easyJet’s European network and filters results based on which are most open for travel. It includes the ability to obtain real-time information when searching for popular destination types, including beaches, city breaks, outdoor getaway and for business travel.

Powered by travel technology provider Smartvel, the new Covid-19 Travel Hub and travel map provide the most up-to-date information about travel requirements and aims to help customers get inspired and offers more peace of mind and confidence to book their next flight.

easyJet’s interactive travel restrictions map offers comprehensive information on:

Entry restrictions
Quarantine measures
COVID-19 tests
Information specific to vaccinated passengers.
Testing labs in Origin and Destination
Forms & Applications required
Health Insurance
Local Health Information
Connecting flights information

easyJet and easyJet holidays have also created a new online Traffic Light System information page for customers based in the UK to help navigate green, amber and red list destination requirements to plan and prepare for travel. The page will be updated with the latest status when the U.K. Government makes any announcements and serves as a valuable resource for customers as countries move between the traffic light categories.

Sophie Dekkers, Chief Commercial Officer of easyJet, commented:  “We want to help our customer navigate through the various travel requirements and restrictions so they can feel confident about making their booking this summer. Our new Covid-19 Travel Hub will really help to equip them with the resources and tools they need to plan their next trip and take to the skies. From creating our interactive travel map and Covid-19 Travel Hub  to adding new testing resources that streamline the experience, we are focused on making it as easy as possible for our  customers this summer.”

“We are committed to a safe restart and are confident this can happen while protecting the vaccination programme and NHS. We also expect the number of countries on the Green list to grow next month to enable safe travel to many of our popular European summer destinations, and we have flexible policies so customers can book with confidence and change their plans if they need to.”
