Quarantine-free holidays to Greece now possible following the relaxation of restrictions
The Doha based Qatar Airways has restarted operating regular scheduled flights between its home base and the sunny and popular Greek island of Doha and Mykonos. The reintroduction of services marks the beginning of a new travel bubble between Qatar and Greece meaning fully vaccinated holidaymakers will no longer need to quarantine on arrival.
The first of the resumed flights, an A320 aircraft, touched down on the Greek islands following the short flight from Doha on Friday 14th May.
Mykonos Flight Schedule: Monday, Friday, Saturday
Doha (DOH) to Mykonos (JMK) QR311 departs: 07:30 arrives: 12:05
Mykonos (JMK) to Doha (DOH) QR312 departs: 13:05 arrives: 17:05
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker, said: “Just under three years since we first launched flights between Doha and Mykonos and despite the huge impact the pandemic has had on leisure travel, this important agreement between Qatar and Greece is hopefully the start of a strong recovery for leisure travel.
“Greece is an important market for us and the Mykonos route was hugely popular following its launch in May 2018. We look forward to a resurgence in that popularity over the coming months.”
Qatar Airways has maintained the route to the Greek capital city Athens throughout the pandemic and the daily service is currently operated by a Boeing 787 aircraft. The Mykonos route is serviced by an A320 aircraft with 12 lie-flat seats in business and 120 seats in economy.
Qatar Airways Holidays offers quarantine-free holiday packages to Mykonos, starting at QAR 4,410 for three nights and available for travel between 14 May and 30 September.
