Rennes Bretagne airport reopens its main runway

The renovation work on Rennes Bretagne airport’s main runway, which Eurovia carried out for VINCI Airports, was completed on 7 May.

The work was paused mid-March and resumed once new arrangements were made to take all appropriate protection measures. The airport can once again handle government and ambulance flights, and has been able to handle air freight since 11 May. VINCI Airports is liaising with airlines to prepare to restart commercial passengers flights.

Destinations served pre-COVID-19 included: Vienna,  Brussels, Fuerteventura, Dubrovnik, Crète, Heraklion,  Prague, Copenhagen, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hanover, Munich, Stuttgart, Athens,
Budapest, Belfast, Cork, Dublin, Florence, Milan, Naples, Rome, Venice, Malta, Amsterdam, Oslo, Madeira, Lisbon, Ibiza, Alicante, Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid, Malaga, Palma de Majorca, Seville, Geneva, Stockholm, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle and Southampton.
