The crew made a stable approach, however, according to the pilot 'wind shear' caused a hard landing and the pilot then elected to do a go-around.
The aircraft, delivered to the airline in May 2017, developed issues with instrumentation and then the crew reported smoke in the cockpit. According to a pilot report, the crew put on oxygen masks redeclared a mayday and carried out a low fly-over for air traffic controllers could ascertain any damage to the aircraft's landing gear. More technical and systems issues occurred before the crew were able to make an emergency landing on Antalya's runway 36c.

Photographs released by airporthaber.com, of the aircraft after the landing clearly show damage to a nose wheel, forward lower fuselage sections around the nose gear, which has been pushed up, through the cabin floor.
An investigation into the cause of the heavy landing and subsequent damage to the aircraft has begun. Local reports say the weather at the airport at the time of the incident was reasonable for aircraft operations, winds of around 16kt were reported, gusting up to 26kt.
Nordwind offered the following statement, "01/10/2020, during a flight without passengers: N4 1801 Moscow - Antalya, when leaving for the second round due to a wind shear, a rough landing occurred at Antalya Airport, with further departure and a safe landing. After landing, damage to the elements of the front landing gear was detected.
Onboard was only the crew of the aircraft. No one was hurt as a result of the incident."
