Corsair and La Compagnie passengers will be able to self-connect with easyJet in Paris Orly
One of Europe's biggest budget carriers, easyJet has confirmed its "Worldwide by easyJet" connecting service is now fully operational in Paris Orly where it will allow connections on partner airlines Corsair and La Compagnie.
The new deal will allow onward passengers the ability to drop their bag at the Self-Connect desk nearby the bags carrousel and make their way to next departure terminal with a fast track access to save time at security checks.
Francois Bacchetta, France country Director for easyJet commented: “We are pleased to announce the launch of this additional service in Paris Orly today. easyJet carries 3.6 million passengers to and from Paris Orly to 19 destinations offering many options to customers flying across France and Europe and self connecting in Paris Orly.”
The low-cost airline has rolled out its interline type arrangements at 170 airports in its route network to date and promises more will be coming on-line in the near future.
Worldwide by easyJet does not impact easyJet’s punctuality as the budget carrier won't hold flights for connecting passengers and there is a minimum 2 hour 30 minute ‘Minimum Connection Time’ at all airports, which they say "will give customers plenty of time to transfer between flights". Also like a traditional interline type deal, easyJet say that should a passenger miss a connecting flight they will be transferred to the next available flight.
Worldwide by easyJet's connection time of 2hrs 30 mins is often more than the normal MCT at most airports and when we've looked pricing various itineraries, it has been more expensive on Worldwide by easyJet's site than it is to book the flights separately.
