Airport Lounge Development doubles the size of Pittsburgh International Airport lounge

Airport Lounge Development (ALD), an award-winning global provider of premium shared-use lounges, today announced the completion of The Club Pittsburgh International. The increased space and seating address the growing demand from travellers for The Club experience.

“From 2017 to 2018, the original lounge space experienced a 50 percent increase in guests. Each month we welcomed over 7,000 guests, a number that exceeded our expectations,” said Nancy Knipp, Senior Vice President of ALD. “As we continue to see the demand for The Club lounge experience rise, we are excited to provide a larger, more enhanced location for Pittsburgh International Airport visitors looking to work or relax.”

Visitors to The Club can expect to find all-inclusive amenities, sweeping views of the airfield, a bountiful buffet and speciality cocktails. Pittsburgh favourite Chef Kate Romane continues to deliver hand-selected hot and cold entrees with a local flair.

The Club Pittsburgh International reflects a contemporary style with notable art captured by local photographer, JP Diroll. Additionally, The Club will now feature ALD’s signature “zones.” The new Replenish Zone offers a full bar stocked with premium spirits, beers and wines. A Resting Zone with dedicated quiet space offers guests the opportunity to put their feet up in comfortable lounge chairs with ottomans. The Refresh Zone provides three private restrooms and private showers. The Club also features a self-enclosed Privacy Zone, and a Cell Free Zone.

The Club’s over 100 seats continue to feature a Relax Zone with comfortable club-chair seating and power. Guests wishing to get a bit of work done while in The Club can also take advantage of the Productivity Zone that includes a community work space, ergonomic task chairs, and an abundance of U.S. and international electrical outlets and USB ports. Guests can utilize the lounge’s complimentary computer, printer and “privacy” seating to conduct quiet phone calls, read or enjoy the Wi-Fi.

“The Club at Pittsburgh International has been a success and we are pleased to see it expand to be able to accommodate even more travellers,” said Pittsburgh International Airport Chief Commercial Officer Eric Sprys. “Our goal is to continue improving the customer experience through new and updated features and amenities. Shared use lounges are becoming more popular at airports across the country and we’re happy to have this new and expanded option for our travellers.”
