Moscow's Sheremetyevo International Airport welcomes British Airways flights from London Heathrow

On Sunday 28th October, Sheremetyevo International Airport welcomed a British Airways flight from London Heathrow, making a welcome return for the airline to the airport. The UK's leading legacy airline, part of the IAG group previously operated flights to Sheremetyevo but stopped in 2003. 

The service will now give passengers more choice as well as making it more convenient to get into the centre of Moscow as Sheremetyevo International Airport is located around 29 km's that is 18 miles, northwest of central Moscow. It takes just 35 minutes to get to downtown Moscow on the Aeroexpress train service that operates a nonstop link between the airport to Belorussky station.  Buses also operate between the airport and Moscow city centre with journey times comparable to the Aeroexpress. The toll road Leningradskoye highway also makes getting to and from the airport a much quicker and easier experience. 


The British Airways flight is scheduled for depart from Heathrow's terminal 5 at 1015, arriving at Sheremetyevo at 1715 in Terminal E. The return flight is timed to depart 1835, arriving in London at 1955 local times and the airline will be using Airbus A321's on the route. .  Starting on October 28th October, the flight will
