The airline confirmed that about 10 people had been affected on the flight from Dubai that arrived in New York around 9.10 local time this morning.
According to local media, the pilot had advised air traffic control that some passengers on the flight had been feeling ill, coughing and had high temperatures, prior to landing. Emergency services were then deployed to meet the aircraft. At the moment there is no definitive cause for the illness, although food poisoning is one of a number of causes being investigated.Statement: Emirates can confirm that about 10 passengers on #EK203 from Dubai to New York were taken ill.
