Aéroports de Montréal would like to take this opportunity to provide some advice that will help you start your holiday on the right foot by making your visit to the airport more pleasant:
Before leaving
During winter, the parking lots near the terminal, including the multi-level parking lot, are in high demand. To secure your place and have peace of mind, make a reservation online!
There are many ways to get to the airport. Bus 747, car sharing, car rental, private shuttle service, taxis and UBER are some alternatives you may consider to arrive safe and sound.
The road network around the airport is being affected by various construction activities. Plan your movements accordingly; take the time to check the condition of roads and traffic on the road network before heading to the airport.
To speed up your clearance through security screening, be well prepared:
Make sure you pack your hand baggage (carry-on) in accordance with the rules in effect. Liquids, aerosols or gels must be transported in containers of 100 ml or less. Taking a bottle of sunscreen? Better place it in your checked baggage (hold baggage)!
Don't leave change, keys and small metal objects in your pants pocket. Remember to put them in your carry-on baggage before getting to the security screening checkpoint.
Reserve your priority passage through the security screening checkpoint at international and domestic departures with the free SecurXpress service.
Before leaving home, check your flight schedule on the ADM website or by contacting your airline. Messy weather or heavy precipitation can lead to flight delays or cancellations. Stay informed!
At the airport
Arrive at the airport in advance (3 hours for international and transborder flights/2 hours for domestic flights) and go through the security screening checkpoint as soon as you have checked in. Many shops, restaurants and relaxation areas will help you take full advantage of your time before your departure.
Returning home
Download the CanBorder, eDeclaration to save time at border controls. This application reduces processing time by 50% and allows you to include up to five people with the same address on a single declaration.
Picking up passengers
Make sure that the passengers you are coming to pick up have arrived before heading to the arrivals-level pickup zone. If they have not arrived yet, use the free CellParc waiting lot. You can stay there for up to 2 hours.
To facilitate the pickup of passengers, the area is divided into 5 loading zones: A, B, C, D and E. Be attentive and arrange a precise rendezvous point.
